Cash Before Questions

Gerry goes to Carole and Seány for some answers...
Gerry has been probing Carole and Seány about why they chose to give the £100,000 to Liam.
As the other housemates sat around the dinner table, Gerry, Carole and Seány talked about the earlier cash giveaway.
"We never heard the dialogue..." Gerry said, referring to the moment the three nominated housemates went into the Diary Room.
"We knew you were watching because we heard you shouting," said Carole.
"It was a huge decision," Gerry commented.
"An easy decision in the end," corrected Carole. "I felt quite relieved afterwards."
"Trying to pick between us," mused Gerry, "you had to do a wise choice, I think?"
"Yeah," murmured Carole. "I think they possibly could have predicted that because it was so difficult to choose people we'd choose the twins."
"We actually thought it was gonna be the twins," admitted Gerry, "but then we thought no, because you have to choose an individual."
Fascinated by this glimpse into the selection process, the conversation then moved onto how proud Seány's parents would be.
Which wasn't quite as interesting to Gerry, who promptly stopped talking.
Why Liam?

Ziggy and Brian approve the decision to make Liam a rich man...
Ziggy and Brian have been discussing why Liam deserved to win the £100,000.
"He's a good boy," said Ziggy. "Some people just have that way about them. Straight down the line. Very, very cool."
"I feel for Liam," said Brian. "People might be thinking he's trying to lay it on but he's not."
"No-one thinks that," said Ziggy. "Everyone's very lucky - the situation that we're in. It's a long way to go. This could be good on him or bad on him... but he's a big boy. Whatever happens he'll know what he's doing."
"It's a strange position to be in," Brian mused.
Going on to contemplate the paranoia of the nomination process the two guys heard an argument from elsewhere in the House.
"I want a cold beer," laughed Brian.
"That's what I want," agreed Ziggy.
"I was homesick last night," confessed Brian. "I went into the Diary Room and bawled my eyes out. I'm so embarrassed."
"I did that," reassured Ziggy. "The first day I got here I lost it."
"I was thinking so many things..." Brian started.
"Stop mate," Ziggy told him. "If you ever want anyone to talk to about it, I'll talk about it with you. It's not even an issue."
Who cares about a hundred grand, this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Wags and Riches

Liam cries and Laura thinks she should have won the cash...
Tonight Carole, Seány and Jonathan decided Liam was the housemate most deserving of the £100,000 prize money.
Carole announced their decision to the group and Liam promptly burst into tears.
"I do appreciate it," Liam said between sobs. "Cheers."
As controversy raged about the night's events, Nicky joined Liam in the kitchen area. Well away from the arguments, they prepared food together for tonight's meal.
"I'm proper annoyed," Liam told Nicky. "I didn't want to cry there. I said to my father there'll be none of that."
"Don't be silly," comforted an understanding Nicky.
Meanwhile the others bickered about the result in the living room.
"I haven't even got a washing machine in my house!" protested an angry Laura, putting forward her case for the cash.
"He deserves it," insisted Ziggy. "He does."
"It's part of the game show innit?" shouted Charley.
That's right Charley, and quite a lucrative part at that.

Strop-On

Chanelle hath no fury...
"Thousands of people are feeling sorry for me right now," said Gerry, as he tried to dig himself out of the massive hole he'd shovelled for himself with Chanelle and Nicky. The pair were giving him a good coating, and what began as harmless banter was getting a bit out of hand. Gerry, don't you know you should never joke about a woman's figure?
"I don't believe you're unfit. I do believe you can do better," he said, referring to Chanelle's seven lengths in the pool. Chanelle wasn't having any of it.
Gerry left the room but Chanelle was getting more wound up.
"Gerry came in and made me feel stupid, tell her Nicky," said Chanelle to Tracey.
"He said she was so unfit," nodded Nicky. "I don't like doing it with everyone watching," griped Chanelle.
"Get over yourself. You're in a house, It's a task," said Tracey. "Take it with a pinch of salt."
But the more Chanelle thought about it, the more she wound herself up. And Ziggy entering the bathroom was the final straw.
"Gerry really, really upset me," she sobbed. "He's really mean." Uh-oh, here comes Gerry.
"I've been in here trying to keep warm. Don't talk to me, you're picking on me. All you do it bitch at me," she barked at him. "Don't tell me to calm down in your patronising voice. You are rude and insulting."
"I'm going now," he said, leaving.
But Chanelle properly blew, shoving away Ziggy as her rant hit typhoon force.
"He said it in jest," said Carole, coming in to calm her down.
"It wasn't funny. He made me feel like a fat whale," Chanelle huffed.
Can't whales swim a bit better than seven lengths?

Unfit for Nothing

Gerry's put his foot in it...
It's like a minefield in this House. Ever noticed how something so small can suddenly become so... explosive?
Nicky, Gerry and Chanelle were taking a rest in the bathroom between strokes in the swimming task, when Gerry joked that Chanelle's seven lengths in the pool might be because she was unfit. Oh dear.
"I can't believe you called me unfit!" said Chanelle aghast. "I go to the gym, I go on the treadmill, I do weights!"
"Oooh," teased Gerry.
"You've been really mean to me today," said Chanelle, only half-joking.
"Women are so sensitive!" shrugged Gerry.
"And he said I was fat the other day," smiled Nicky, winding him up.
"No I didn't," he said. "Have you seen my stomach? That's why I became gay," he said turning to Billi who was on the other sofa. "Because of women!"
"I can't believe you said I'm unfit," said Chanelle again, looking really put out.
"Ooh that's sooo horrible," he mocked. "Anyway you're not unfit. You just can't swim."
As Chanelle looked more upset he turned to the others. "I didn't really mean you were unfit. I just meant you can do more than seven."
"You didn't have to call me fat," said Nicky.
"One woman at a time. I'm sorry if I called you unfit. And I never called you fat."
"You turned gay?" said Billi.
"With this I'm turning more gay!"
Nicky giggled. But Chanelle wasn't leaving it... watch out Gerry, she's about to blow.

Bye Bye Love
Day 20, 18:16

Is trouble on the horizon for Chanelle and Ziggy?
Brian's longing for love. And there might be some around the corner... just not for him.
"I don't think there's any love in this House," he told Tracey, Nicky and Carole. "I don't think any one of us new four boys are gonna get with any of the girls."
"Well I think you're wrong," said Tracey. "I can see one."
"Who?" asked Brian, crossing his fingers she'd say his name.
"I'm not saying any names but I can see one," Tracey mysteriously revealed.
"Who, Where?" said Nicky, sitting up.
"I think that Chanelle has feelings for Billi," said Tracey.
Could Tracey be playing cupid? Only last night in a secret chat with Ziggy, she'd heard that although he liked Chanelle, he didn't like the age gap. And now Tracey is sowing the seeds of love for Chanelle and Billi. You sly old fox, Tracey.
"I have to say..." nodded Carole. "You might not be wrong there."
"What? Brian and Billi?" asked Nicky, not so much as getting the wrong end of the stick, but barking up a whole wrong tree.
"And I'm not saying there are feelings there, but there's an attraction," continued Tracey.
"That's out of order if that's the case," Brian. But Nicky wasn't so sure.
"I think that's a good idea," she said.
"If that's the case this House is gonna see fireworks," said Brian.
"Don't quote me on it, guys. But I've just noticed... I'm not stupid. There's gonna be a storm-age of love," Tracey whispered to new best pal Brian. "The pink clouds are forming, there's gonna be an explosion."
A bit later Nicky and Tracey mulled over the love twist. "Have you noticed that?" asked Tracey. "They're not spending as much time together. She was sitting on the other bed with him. And Ziggy's been in the garden with me."
"Maybe she feels she has to spend her time a bit more with..."
"Zig will get hurt," added Tracey.
"But so might she," said Nicky. "I think if anything it's her who needs to protect herself."
Wonder when Billi is going to get a say in all this?

Soggy Boots
Day 20, 11:51

It's the morning, so it must be time for a row. Charley?
As the days in the House roll on, there are one or two events clocks could be set by. Ziggy doing press-ups, Nicky running around the garden... Or, the most common occurrence of all - Charley having a row with someone.
This time, her expensive, fluffy boots had gotten a soaking and Seány was in the firing line.
"Did you, or do you know anyone, who put water in my boots?" Charley asked him, "because it's not on."
Seány decided to come clean. "I put a cup in yesterday as a joke," he admitted guiltily, "but there was no water in it."
"They were drenched!" barked Charley. "So it was you! I had to dry them last night. I was fuming."
"I didn't put water in," Seány protested, "that wasn't me. I would never have done that."
No, course not.
"Someone has done it," fumed Charley "and I don't see the funny joke in it at all. I find it evil."
The House itself could almost be heard to breathe a sigh of relief as the row seemed to fizzle out, until...
"Huh!" said Charley. "My pumps! A wet tissue?" she said producing said article from one of her shoes.
"That was me," confessed Seány instantly. "I didn't realise they were yours," he added.
But the blue touch paper was well and truly lit. "This is it now," ranted Charley. "I've had enough of this s**t. People wonder why I'm always in arguments when they treat me like that."
Run Seány, run for your life...

Water Babies

The younger housemates have a late night splash in the pool...
Sensing the need to take the party outside, the younger members of the house, Billi, Brian, Liam, Charley, Nicky and of course the twins had a late night splash in the pool.
Donning a very unflattering shower cap to avoid another hair drama, Charley was in the mood for some pool games. This mainly involved strong man Liam lifting the girls up in the air like an ice skater posing for the judges.
Naturally the twins were up for this as well and jostled for Liam's muscles.
Liam was no doubt enjoying the attention but aired his views on Sam and Amanda.
"I just want to see a different side to you two. You're not going to be in a good mood all the time."
You want to bet on that one?
With that, somewhat surprisingly, Nicky jumped in the pool from nowhere, shrieking, "Oh man, it's wicked in here. I went to bed and said 'this is well boring'".
Liam, we give you 8.4 for execution and Nicky we score you a whopping 9.4 for effort.
